Claude Patterson

Rev. Claude Patterson, 72, of Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest Monday, April 14, 2014 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Rev. Patterson was born in Mooresville, NC June 17, 1941 to the late Henry and Angerona H. Patterson.  He was a 1961 graduate of West End High School, Skipwith, VA and a member of St. Mark Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA. Rev. Patterson was a retiree of Clayton Homes in Oxford, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; William, John and Lonnie and one sister, Lena Tarry. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Ida Lucille Burwell Patterson of Durham, NC; two daughters, Claudia P. Gaskin (Juan, Sr.) of Chesterfield, VA and Kimberly P. Henderson (Randy, Sr.) of Durham, NC; four grandchildren, Juan, Jr. and Christopher Gaskin of Chesterfield, VA and Randy and Kimmell Henderson of Durham, NC; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Hatcher and Pauline Harvey and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Rev. Claude Patterson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at St. Mark Baptist Church, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Derrick Horton, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing for family and friends will be held Friday, 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church.
