Corine Small Hayes

Mrs. Corine Small Hayes, 75, of Buffalo Junction, VA passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Hayes was born in Mecklenburg County, VA June 13, 1943 to the late Samuel Small and Sophie Venable. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Clarksville congregation. She loved to cook and take care of her children. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Hayes; three brothers, Bo, Frank, and Donald and two sisters, Sadie and Dorothy. Left to cherish her precious memories are her children, Louise Epps (Tony) of Chatham, VA, Cleveland Hayes, Linda Stewart (Willie) and Connie Yancey (Thomas), Dorene Hayes, Leon Hayes, Dennis Hayes, and Tracy Hayes all of Buffalo Junction, VA; six grandchildren, Melissa, Taquan, Channa, Anthony, Deavion and Dynashia; two great-grandchildren, Diamond and Da’myah; four sisters, Cleo Marrow, Geriline Small, Lucille Reed and Edith Terry; four sisters-in-law, Barbara Small, Corrine Terry, Mozelle Terry and Mary Byrd; three devoted friends, Bea Mc Glotten, Margaret Bristol and Shirley Clark and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Clarksville, VA with Jim White speaking. Burial will follow in the Hayes Family Cemetery, Buffalo Junction, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Monday from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
