Larry Darnell Brown, Sr.

Mr. Larry Darnell Brown Sr., 51, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, September 17, 2010 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Brown was born in South Boston, VA July 2, 1959 to the late Walter Franklin Brown and Rhoena Johnson Brown. He was a 1977 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School and later served his country for 18 years in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Burlington Industries in Clarksville until closing. He was currently employed by Powhatan Correctional Center. Cherishing his memories are one son, Larry Darnell Brown of Chase City, VA; his mother, Mrs. Rhoena Johnson Brown of Chase City, VA; six sisters, Grace B. Tucker (Calvin) Patricia D. Brown and   Helen B. Thompson (Clarence) all of Chase City, VA Brenda B. Walker (Calvin) of South Hill, VA, Linda B. Williams of Boydton, VA, Gloria Brown Williams (Victor) of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Clarence Powell (Grace) of York, PA, Rossie F. Brown (Karen) and Wilbur E. Brown (Gloria) all of Richmond, VA; three uncles, Junious Johnson (Leona) John C. Johnson (Irma), Leon Johnson, (Beulah); two aunts, Elzena Williams (Woodrow) and Marie Crosson; devoted friend, Denise Salley and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Larry Darnell Brown Sr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Lone Oak Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. Freddie Terry, officiating and Rev. Waverly Brown Sr. delivering the eulogy. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
