Larry Noel Tucker

Mr. Larry Noel Tucker, 68, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Tucker, affectionately known as "Turk", was born in Forth Mitchell, VA on September 18, 1951 to Louise Watts and the late Charlie Noel Tucker. He attended Lunenburg County Public Schools, and at an early age was baptized at Mount Mitchell Baptist Church in Drakes Branch, VA. Mr. Tucker was a former truck driver for the United States Postal Service in Maryland. In addition to his father, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by one sister, Joanna Tucker, and two brothers, Charles Tucker and Major E. Hurt. Cherishing his memories are his mother, Louise Watts Robinson of Chase City, VA; seven sisters, Doris F. Watkins and Patricia L. Tucker both of Richmond, VA, Anna Marie Gilbert (Steve) of Magnolia, AR, Joyce Saunders (Larry) of Drakes Branch, VA, Vernell Netteberg (Peter) of North Chesterfield, VA, Rhonda Tucker-Royster of North Carolina and Theresa Crawley of Rice, VA; four brothers, William Hurt and Eric Tucker (Sharon) all of Chase City, VA, Samuel Hurt of Washington, DC and Charlie Tucker (Denise) of North Carolina, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Larry Noel Tucker will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Vernell Scott Netteberg delivering the eulogy. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
