Lillian Brown Mccargo

Mrs. Lillian B. McCargo, 94 of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA. Mrs. McCargo was born in Charlotte County, VA May 11, 1917 to the late Charles and Virgie Brown. She attended the Charlotte County Schools and was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church. There she was a member of the Missionary Society and a member of the choir until her health began to fail. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie, sisters and brothers. Cherishing her memories are one daughter, Ruth C. Dailey of Red Oak, VA; three grandchildren, Weford, Leonora and Latashe; three great-grandchildren, Jermain, Cayveon and Jayden; great niece, Karen; one son-in-law, Norris Dailey and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian B. McCargo will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Dr. James E. Scott, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
