Margaret Boyd Revis

Mrs. Margaret Boyd Revis, 78, Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, January 22, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Revis was born in Mecklenburg County, VA December 24, 1933. Mrs. Revis was the daughter of the late Henry Boyd and Mamie Ledge Boyd and was married to the late Clarence T. Revis, Jr.  She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church, Clarksville, Virginia.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Peterson; three brothers, John William Parks, Nathaniel Satchell and James Boyd; one brother-in-law, Robert Townes; three sisters-in-law, Estelle Lassiter, Mary Lee Harris, and Daisy Satchell. Cherishing her memories are a daughter; Marcella Boyd of Bridgeport, CT; two sons, Clarence T. Revis, III of Boydton, VA and William N. Revis of Bridgeport, CT; one sister, Mary Boyd Townes of Chase City, VA; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law; Hazel Parks, Gladys Craddock (Alfred), Alberta Smith (Louie) and Georgia Ann Reed, and a vast number of other loving relatives, and caring friends.  Including three special friends, Louise Jones, Emma Rawlins, and Mozelle Royster. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 12:00 noon, Friday, January 27, 2012 at Saint Luke Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Mack Talley, officiating. The family will receive family and friends at the residence 226 Reed Lane, Boydton, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
