Mary Hector Jones

Mrs. Mary Hector Jones, 62, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 at VCU/Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mrs. Jones was born in Chase City, VA September 25, 1955 to the late Lawyer Hector and Mary Smithson. She attended Bluestone Senior High School and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hector was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Hector and a brother, Floyd Hector. Cherishing her memories are her husband, Fitzhugh L. Jones, Jr., of Chester, VA; two children, Shavonnne Bowens, and Omar Hector (Linda) of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Novella Hayes of Boydton, VA, Linda Brooks of Chase City, VA and Anna Hector of Clarksville, VA; her beloved dog, Lexus and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for family and friends will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Chase City Senior Citizens Center, Chase City, VA followed by a repast. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
