Michael Lamond Boyd

Mr. Michael Lamond Boyd, 40, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Monday, September 17, 2012. Mr. Boyd was born in South Boston, VA March 26, 1972. He was a 1990 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith, VA a member of Greater Union Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Mr. Boyd honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Jordan Brianna Scott, his parents, Edward and Rachel Mae Bullock and one brother, Donald Boyd. Cherishing his memories are his wife,Veryl Scott Boyd of Louisbrug, NC; two children, Brittany Scott of Louisburg, NC and Alex Perkins of South Boston, VA; one sister, Wanda Jones of Clarksville, VA; one brother, Terrance Bullock of Chase City, VA; two aunts, Shirley Powell and Avon Roberts of Chase City, VA; three uncles, Calvin Boyd, Ronnie Roberts, Sr. and Connell Roberts all of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Greater Union Baptist Church, Chase City, VA with Rev. Linda Goode, officiating. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
