Ms. Peggy Diane Arrington Hayes, 60, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Hopewell Health Care Center, Hopewell, VA. Ms. Hayes was born on May 7, 1956 in Yonkers, NY to the late Allen Walter Arrington and Deloris Lucille Wright. She was a graduate of Saunders Trade High School, Yonkers, NY and later attended Mercy College, Yonkers, NY. Ms. Hayes was formerly employed by Yonkers General Hospital as a CNA. Cherishing her memories are one son, William Hayes of Chase City, VA; one granddaughter, Diaviahn Monaye Hayes; five siblings, Annette Arrington and Ricardo Arrington both of Chase City, VA, Allen Walter Arrington, Jr. and Nathaniel Arrington both of Yonkers, NY and James Albert Arrington of Richmond, VA; nieces and nephews, Ashley Arrington, Allen Arrington, III, James Arrington, II, Montrell Arrington and Tarsharia Arrington and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Ms. Peggy Diane Arrington Hayes will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Jim White conducting the service. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends Friday 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
