Rev. Jordan T. Pettus

Rev. Jordan T. Pettus, 89, of Clarksville, VA entered eternal rest Monday, February 22, 2021 at South Boston Health and Rehabilitation Center. Rev. Pettus was born in Red Oak, VA September 5, 1931 to the late Jordan Pettus, Sr. and Mary Fields Pettus. He attended Central High School in Charlotte Court House, VA and was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA. Rev. Pettus was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Pettus, three children, four sisters and four brothers. Left to cherish his precious memories are his step-daughter, Eleanor Ware of Temple Hills, MD; three step-grandchildren; his brother, Matthew Pettus, Sr. of Clarksville, VA; special nieces, Mary Brooks, Carol Session and Pamela Lancaster; special nephew, Leroy Pettus; devoted friends, Gayle Barnette, Teresa James and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Salem Baptist Church Pavilion, Red Oak, VA with Rev. Matthew Pettus, Jr. delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a mask will be required for all viewings and services. We ask that you adhere to all guidelines, and practice social distancing. Arrangements are by C.H.
