Mr. Troy Vaden, 89, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA. Mr. Vaden was born in Java, VA April 15, 1921 to the late Charlie and Lena Jones Vaden. He attended Pittsylvania County Public Schools, at an early age he joined Shockoe Missionary Baptist Church Java, VA; after the death of his wife he joined St. Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA. Mr. Vaden was a retired farmer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Florence Moody Vaden he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Cherishing his memories are one sister, Jean Williams of Chatham, VA; two brothers, Joseph and Charlie Vaden both of Java, VA; seven sisters-in-law, Betty Vaden, Rosa Mae Vaden, Mary Stokes, Clara Vaden, Anita Moody, Mattie Moody, and Margaret Moody; one brother-in-law, Ferman Moody, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Troy Vaden will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, Nov. 26, at St. Level Baptist Church, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Toney Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Viewing for Mr. Vaden will be Thursday, Nov. 25, from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Arrangements are by C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.
