Xavier Lamont Hendricks

Mr. Xavier Lamont Hendricks, 35, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Warrenton, NC. Mr. Hendricks was born in Durham, NC to Ollie Weldon and Kimberly Hendricks. He attended Warren County High School, Warrenton, NC, and New St. Douglas Baptist Church in Boydton, VA. Mr. Hendricks was employed as a fork lift operator, and enjoyed basketball, fishing, and cars with rims. Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Lillian Hendricks. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Tanisha Evyette Hawkins Hendricks of Chase City, VA; three sons, Nasir La’Chavis Reid and Xavier Lamont Hendricks, Jr. both of Raleigh, NC and JayBran Trashun Degree of Chase City, VA; two daughters, Aziyah Lamontè Reid of Raleigh, NC and Jekaylah Nacole Degree of Chase City, VA; his parents, Ollie Weldon and Kimberly Hendricks of Norlina, NC; two brothers, Demetrius L. Hargrove of Warrenton, NC and Jakil Tyrell Alexander of Norlina, NC; four sisters, Priscilla Ann Hargrove of Warrenton, NC, Janay Shakeem Alexander and Olivia Nicole Alexander both of Soul City, NC and Shawandria Janise Hendricks of Norlina, NC; his maternal grandparents, Louise and Walter Crews, two sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Xavier Lamont Hendricks will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at New St. Douglas Baptist Church, Boydton, VA with Rev. Chester W. Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
