Mrs. Aldine Baird Petty, 98, formerly of South Boston, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at the George Washington Health & Rehabilitation Center in Alexandria, VA. Mrs. Petty was born in Pearson County NC July 22, 1927.
Mrs. Petty was preceded in death by her husband, David Petty and they were the owners of the former Petty Funeral Home, South Boston, VA.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, at the Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ in Washington, D.C. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025 at Owens Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Cluster Springs, VA.
