Annie Belle Smith

Ms. Annie Belle Smith, 89, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Clarksville Health and Rehab Center.

Ms. Smith was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on July 6, 1937 to the late George and Ada Brown Smith. She attended West End High School in Clarksville, VA and was a member of Greater Union Baptist Church in Chase City where she was a member of the Choir. Ms. Smith was formerly employed as a nurse in home healthcare, and in her spare time enjoyed playing softball.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory three sons, Larry Smith of New York City, NY, Oscar Smith of Stockton, CA and Reginald Smith of Albany, NY; seventeen grandchildren; one sister, Isabelle Smith of Chase City, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Annie Belle Smith will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dr. Michael Evans, officiating. Burial will follow in Thyne Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.
