Brenda Charlene Kelly

Ms. Brenda Charlene Kelly, 66, of Chase City, VA passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA.

Ms. Kelly was born in Charlotte County, VA on February 2, 1960 to the late John and Dora Woodson Kelly. She graduated from Bluestone Senior High School, Skipwith in 1979 and was a long-time employee of Russell Stover Candies, Inc. in Clarksville, VA. She was also previously employed at Sherwood Industries and Jonbil, Inc. in Chase City, VA. In her free time, Brenda enjoyed cooking for her family and friends; she especially enjoyed baking and was well known for her sweet potato and coconut pies.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory two siblings, Sharon Kelly of Richmond, VA and Jerome Kelly of Oxford, NC; one aunt and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris, officiating. Burial will follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Chase City. Public viewing will being on Saturday from 1:30 P.M. until 2:15 P.M.
