Brian Steven Wood

Mr. Brian Steven Wood, 54, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Wood was born in Jersey City, NJ on August 14, 1965 to Mildred H. Carter Wood and the late Lloyd Lorenzo Wood. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School in Jersey City, NJ and furthered his education, receiving his Electrician Certification. He attended Salem Baptist Church in Jersey City, NJ, and was formerly employed by the Sika Cooperation. Mr. Wood was an avid sports fan; he loved the NY Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys and basketball. In addition to his father, Mr. Wood was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Lloyd Wood. Cherishing his memories are his mother, Mildred H. Carter Wood of Chase City, VA; one sister, Sharon L. Wood-Thorndike (Daufhin) of Buffalo, NY, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City.
