Clara Christine Woodson

Mrs. Clara Christine Woodson, 69, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA.

Mrs. Woodson was born September 29, 1956 in South Boston, VA to the late Ollie and Endia T. Salley. She was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith and a member of Concord Baptist Church in Chase City. Mrs. Woodson was a retired correctional officer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Salley and Dean Salley.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Melvin L. Woodson, Sr. of Chase City, VA; two daughters, Siobhan Richardson of Midlothian, VA and Michelle Yancey of Petersburg, VA; ten grandchildren; sister, Celestine Brooks of Red Oak, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Christine Woodson will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Dennis King officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA.
