Clarence W. Smith

Mr. Clarence W. Smith, 84, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014 at Chase City Health and Rehabilitation. Mr. Smith was born in Boydton, VA March 11, 1930 to the late Douglas Sr. and Pearl Yancey Smith. He was a retired Journeyman Millwright from General Electric and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Helena Smith; two sisters, Rosa Jordan and Mary Elizabeth Smith; one brother, Douglas Smith Jr. Cherishing his memory is one brother, John Herman Smith of Plainfield, NJ; a devoted niece, Marguerite E. Smith-Brown of Boydton, VA; one brother-in-law and a vast number of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
