Daniel Boyd Jefferson, Sr.

Mr. Daniel Jefferson Sr., 66 of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 2, 2026.

Mr. Jefferson was born in Williamsboro, NC September 7, 1959, to the late Anthony and Larsie Rena Jefferson. He attended Vance County Public Schools and worked numerous years at Basic Sportswear until his health declined. Mr. Jefferson was also a US Navy veteran. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching wrestling and coming up with silly nicknames for the children.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jefferson was preceded in death by sisters, Lula Faines and Nannie Williams; and brothers, James Jefferson, Joe Nathan Hargrove, Anthony Jefferson Jr, John Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson, Adam Jefferson.

Cherishing his memories are his wife, Evelyn Jefferson of Boydton, VA; son, Daniel “DJ” Jefferson Jr. of South Hill, VA; daughter, Sherie Russell (Larry) of LaCrosse, VA; grandson, Tariq Russell of Lacrosse, VA; granddaughter, India Russell of Broadnax, VA; his brother, Bobby Jefferson of Henderson, NC, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Jefferson will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Public viewing will begin on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM.
