Mrs. Eula Mae Lawson, age 82, of Wilson, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 14, 2025.

Born on December 6, 1942, in Lunenburg County, Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Fred Tunnie and Alberta Tunnie Goode. A proud graduate of Lunenburg County Schools, Mrs. Lawson dedicated her professional life to serving others as a dietitian at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey until her retirement.

A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Chase City, Virginia. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Mrs. Lawson had a love for cooking and a passion for sports—especially softball and bowling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Miller and Lucille Butler, as well as her brothers-in-law, William Watts and Kenneth Butler.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Frederick Anthony Lawson (Bonita) of Rex, Georgia; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her dear sister, Sarah Watts of Chase City, Virginia; and a host of other loving relatives and cherished friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Chase City, VA, with Rev. Dr. Pamela Lee delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Berean Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
