Flanze Delano Jones

Mr. Flanze Delano Jones, 78, of Chase City, VA and formerly of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Community Memorial Healthcenter, South Hill, VA. Mr. Jones was born in Mecklenburg County, VA September, 17, 1932 to the late Lewis W. and Addie Bowers Jones. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a former employee of Burlington Industries. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by one sister, and four brothers. Cherishing his memories are four nieces, Deborah R. Tisdale of Bridgeport, CT, JoAnne Robertson and Barbara Jones of Richmond, VA and Mary Alice Johnson of Petersburg, VA; one nephew, Richard Jones Jr. of Oxford, NC; several great nieces and nephews and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Flanze Delano Jones will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Minister Patricia Liggon, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Boydton, VA. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
