Mr. George Keith Mitchell, 70, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Mitchell was born August 15, 1953 and was the son of the late Louise Gurley Mitchell and Tom Mitchell. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, and was the former owner of Southside Casket Company of South Boston, VA. Mr. Mitchell was previously employed by various local funeral homes and as a truck driver.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Tommy Mitchell of Palmer Springs, VA and Sara Mitchell of Hopewell, VA; five grandchildren; uncle, Carlton Gurley and wife, Sylvia of Chase City; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.
A private inurnment will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.
Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
