Mrs. Grace Mosley Davis, 92, of Red Oak, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Sentara Meadowview Terrace, Clarksville, VA. Mrs. Davis was born in Charlotte County, VA on December 21, 1927 to the late Flem and Mamie D. Mosley. She attended the historic Thyne Institute, and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak, VA. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, word search puzzles, and gardening. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Remana B. Davis; two sons, Roscoe “Stanley” Davis and Ray Davis, a daughter, Irma Davis, a nephew she raised as her own, Billy Mosley; a niece she raised as her own, Carolyn Watkins; three brothers, Herman, Mason and Norman, and eight sisters, Maggie, Mabel, Helen, Lucille, Thelma, Mamie, Cora and Edna. Cherishing her memories are three sons, Lynn Davis (Mary), Bennie Davis (Diane) and Keith Davis; four daughters, Shirley Robertson, Gloria White (Norman) Jacqueline Wiley (Willie) and April Davis; a niece she raised as her own, Audrey Mosley; 30 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Whitehead (Cornell) and Dorothy Pettus, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A private graveside service was conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger L. Allen, officiating. Public viewing was held on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
