Herman Theodore Coaxum

Mr. Herman Theodore Coaxum, age 89, of Chase City, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. He was born on August 26, 1935, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late William and Dianna B. Coaxum.

Mr. Coaxum was a graduate of Saunders High School in Westchester, New York. He devoted his career to working as a truck driver before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Coaxum, and their daughter, Michelle Coaxum, and their son, Darrell Coaxum.

Mr. Coaxum is survived by his daughter, Monique Coaxum of Chase City, and three sons: Jeffrey and Reginald Coaxum, both of Yonkers, New York, and Herman Coaxum of Danville, Virginia. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
