Hilda Hardy Terry

Mrs. Hilda Hardy Terry, 83, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Terry was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 16, 1943, to the late Casey and Theora Wood Hardy. She was a 1961 graduate of West End High School and a member of Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. Mrs. Terry was a former employee of Sherwood Foods. In her spare time, she enjoyed ceramics and crafts.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her siblings, Kelsey Hardy, Claudette Hutcheson, Edwin Hardy and Estell Carter.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Marshall S. Terry of Chase City, VA; son, Quincy S. Terry of Chase City, VA; daughter, Marlo T. Henry (Shawn) of Oxford, NC; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred J. Hardy (Annie) of Chase City, VA; sisters, Joan H. Ghee and Wanda Royster (John) all of Chase City, VA and Alice J. Miller of Mechanicsville, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Freddie Terry, Jr. delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Victoria, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church.
