Hunter Lee Prophet, Jr.

Mr. Hunter Lee Prophet, Jr., 46, of Glen Allen, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Prophet was born in South Boston, VA on November 1, 1972 to the late Geraldine and Hunter Lee Prophet, Sr. He was a graduate of Bluestone Senior High School in Skipwith, VA and was previously employed by Pizza Pub and The Lamplighter restaurants in Clarksville, VA, and most recently as a culinary specialist for Two Kings Concessions in Richmond, VA. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and he loved to cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Michael, Bryant and Tracine. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Hunter Prophet, III of Henrico, VA, Kyzer Prophet of Oxford, NC and Ariyanna Prophet of Glen Allen, VA; three sisters, Valerie Skipwith (Carl) of Richmond, VA, Taunya Crawley (Matthew) of South Hill, VA and Capricia Bailey of Durham, NC; one brother, Kevin Prophet of Durham, NC; three aunts, one uncle; a devoted friend of many years, Christine Vespucci; his caregiver, Shameka Gregory; his best friend he treated as a brother, Sherwood Baskerville, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Hunter L. Prophet, Jr. will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Jacqueline Coleman delivering the eulogy. Interment will be private. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
