Ida Lucille Patterson

Mrs. Ida Lucille  Patterson, 80, of Durham, NC and formerly of Buffalo Junction, VA entered eternal rest Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Duke Regional Hospital, Durham, NC. Mrs. Patterson was born in Clarksville, VA July 20, 1933 to the late Lutha and Beatrice King Burwell. She was a graduate of West End High School, Skipwith, VA and  a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church #1, Clarksville, VA for over forty years . Mrs. Patterson played the piano for her church, St. Mark Baptist Church and other churches in the community over the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Patterson. Cherishing her memoires are  two daughters, Claudia P. Gaskin (Juan, Sr.) of Chesterfield, VA and Kimberly P. Henderson (Randy, Sr.) of Durham, NC; four grandchildren, Juan, Jr. and Christopher Gaskin of Chesterfield, VA and Randy and Kimmell Henderson of Durham, NC; one sister, Pauline Harvey; one sister-in-law, Elsie Hatcher; special friends, Thelma Johnson, Evelyn Bass and Lula Bright  and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Lucille Patterson will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church #1, Clarksville, VA with Rev. Cleotis Lawson, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery, Buffalo Junction, VA.  Public viewing for family and friends will be held Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.  Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville, VA.   Service 11:00 A.M.
