James Edward Bullock

Mr. James Edward Bullock, 50, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Friday, September 7, 2012 at VCU/MCV Hospitals, Richmond, VA. Mr. Bullock was born in Washington, DC January 19, 1962 to John Bullock, Sr. and the late Roseanna Sturdivant Bullock. He attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was employed as a truck driver at Devin Logging. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Reed. Cherishing his memories are daughters, Tracie Hilliard (Daniel) of Kinston, NC Jammie Bell (Jermaine) of Rocky Mount, NC, Jessica Pettus (Glen) of Chase City, VA, Shanelle Gayles (Clarence) of Las Vegas, NV;  seven grandchildren; father, John Bullock, Sr.; brother, John W. Bullock, Jr. of Danville, VA; sisters, Edna Burton and Mary Bullock of Chase City, VA, Martha Goode (Ernest) of Newport News, VA, Bessie Watson of Scottsburg, VA and Barbara Bullock (Bubba) of Chase City, VA; a devoted companion, Geraldine Chalmers of Wylliesburg, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. James E. Bullock will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Evangelist Shirley Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Viewing for Mr. Bullock will begin 10:00 A.M. Wednesday. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
