James Edward Logan

Mr. James Edward Logan, 52, of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at VCU/MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mr. Logan was born in Mecklenburg County VA August 18, 1962 to Alice B. Evans and the late Walter Lee Logan, Sr. He attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools and was employed by Virginia Homes Manufacturing for 28 years. In addition to his father,  Mr.  Logan was preceded in death by a step-son, Washington Jerome Boyd,  a brother, Walter Lee Logan Jr;  a sister, Shirley Ann Logan and by his mother-in-law, Rose Ida Boyd who passed the same day. Cherishing his memories are his wife, Gracie Boyd Logan of Boydton, VA; his children, Janet and Pamela Davis of Maryland and Dominico Oliver of South Hill, VA ; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; his mother, Alice B. Evans Logan of Boydton, VA; four sisters, Ernestine Logan-Simmons (Albert), Adele Logan and  Betty Jean Logan all of Boydton, VA and  Dorothy Greene (Rodney) of South Hill, VA; four uncles, three aunts and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. James Edward Logan will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the chapel of C.H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buffalo Junction. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Boydton, VA. Public viewing for family and friends Friday 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by C.H.
