Mr. James Lee Tinsley, 57, of Chase City, VA passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA.

Mr. Tinsley, affectionately known as “Jimmy”, was born in Arlington, VA on April 8, 1968 to Cornelia Ann Hunter and the late James P. Marrow. He was a laborer who held many jobs and was previously employed by the Town of Chase City. Jimmy enjoyed working on cars, fishing, playing the guitar and doing odd jobs.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory seven daughters, Ryan Gregory, Vakesh Carter (Joe), Shunta Tinsley (Darnell), Jasmine Tinsley, LaToya Tinsley, ShaToya Marshall and Infinity Marshall all of Chase City, VA; four sons, Clifton Tucker (LaToya) of Ebony, VA, Oshal Tucker (Nicole) of Chase City, VA, Harold Tucker (Shatara) of Fresno, CA and Anthony Gregory (Jennifer) of Buffalo Junction, VA; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his mother, Cornelia Ann Hunter of Maryland; brother, Lonnie Marrow of Clarksville, VA; three sisters, Thressa Marrow and Connie Marrow both of North Carolina and Delores Tinsley of Alexandria, VA; his loving companion, Ruby Marshall; a very special friend, Mary Tinsley, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. James Lee Tinsley will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Melvin J. Palmer, officiating. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will begin on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 AM.
