Joyce Tucker Doggett

Mrs. Joyce Tucker Doggett, 80, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Doggett was born February 13, 1946, in New Jersey to the late Fitzhugh Tucker and Elnora Robertson Tucker. She was a 1968 graduate of West End High School and was a member of New Rehoboth Baptist Church, Keysville, VA. In her spare time, she enjoyed singing, and enjoying life with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Artie Taylor Jr., and her second husband, Corbin (Rock) Doggett, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories a special friend, Stewart Neblett; two sons, Zelick Taylor of Chase City, VA and Carlton Roberts of Maryland; one daughter, Carla Harris of Maryland; three grandchildren; a brother, Robert Tucker of Baltimore Maryland; a sister, Elenor Biggers of Chase city, VA, seven sisters-in- law, two brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Doggett will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 22, 2026, at chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. John Craighead and Elder Kenyatta Evans officiating. Burial will follow in New Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery, Keysville, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
