Larry Dean Mayo

Mr. Larry Dean Mayo, 63, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Mayo was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on October 19, 1955 to the late Matthew and Elva Mae Watts Mayo. He attended West End High School and was a carpenter. Larry loved fishing, maintenance jobs, and watching western movies on TV. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mayo was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Nelson Mayo, and a sister, Evelyn Christine Mayo Bragg. Cherishing his memories are two brothers, Robert Lee Watts (Josephine) of Chase City, VA and James Cornell Mayo of Hampton, VA; three sisters, Doris A. Mayo of Chase City, VA, Marilynn Mayo Walker of South Hill, VA, and Carolyn Mayo Chapman of Spring Lake, NC, two sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mr. Larry Dean Mayo will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA. Interment will be private. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
