Mrs. Lillian Virgina Jackson, 92, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, May, 24, 2025.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Elizabeth Town, NC Nov. 16, 1932. She attended historic Thyne Institute in Chase City and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. She sang with her family group, the Beattie Singers, and was a former employee of Russell Stover Candies.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her mother, Dessie Mae Atkinson, husband, Jimmy Jackson, sons, Samuel and Ronald Jackson and fifteen siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, James Jackson, Jr. (Christine) of Chase City, VA; daughters, Mary Doughty (Jim) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Kathleen Chew (Wesley) of Adelphi, MD, Debra Smith (Tyrone) of Chase City, VA, Patreace Sellers (Charles) of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Atkinson and Timothy Beattie of Chase City, VA; one sister, Shirley Parker of Lynchburg, VA; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Dennis King delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for family and fiends will be on Friday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
