Marie Moon

Mrs. Marie Moon, 72, of Chase City, VA passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Moon was born July 5, 1953, in Cebu City, Philippines to the late Manuel and Consolacion Fortich Santos. She was a graduate of Saint Teresa’s High School and of Southside Virginia Community College School of Nursing. She was an Army veteran. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Moon and her brother, Tony Santos.

Mrs. Moon is survived by her daughters, Daphne Moon of Chase City, VA and Muriel F. Reroma of Corona, CA; her son, Brandon Moon of Farmville, VA; six grandchildren; sisters, Brennink Meijer of Cebu City, Philippines and Ireen P. Cleveland of Henderson, KY; one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
