Mr. Melvyn Malik Crutchfield, 28, of Lynchburg, VA entered eternal rest on Friday December 26, 2025.
Mr. Crutchfield was born in Richmond VA, January 27, 1997 to the parentage of Melvin and Colleen Hardy Crutchfield. He was a graduate of Lloyd C. Bird High School and Liberty University and active with the Army National Guard. He was employed as an IT Technician with Mobile-Tel.
He is survived by his wife, Rebekah Munsey Crutchfield of Lynchburg VA; his daughter, Emryn Kouvr Crutchfield and his son, Ezekiel Malik Crutchfield both of Lynchburg, VA; his parents, Melvin and Colleen Crutchfield of N. Chesterfield, VA; sister, Mekaylah Monique Crutchfield of N. Chesterfield VA; maternal grandparents, Alfred J. and Annie Hardy of Chase City, VA; paternal grandparents, Edward and Mary Puryear of Chase City, VA; mother-in-law, DeAnna Phillips; father-in-law, Mark Munsey; one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2026 at the chapel of Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia with chaplain CPT Clayton Farmer, delivering the eulogy. At the family’s request there will be no public viewing. You may pay your respect and sign the register from 2 until 6 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
