Morris Fowlkes

Mr. Morris Fowlkes, 83, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.  Mr. Fowlkes was born in Keysville, VA December 1, 1924, one of nine children born to the late Edmond and Alma Fowlkes. He received his formal education in the public schools of Lunenburg County, VA, and was a life member of New Rehoboth Baptist Church, Keysville, VA.  Cherishing his memories are two sisters, Sally Lovan and Estelle Patterson (Odis) of Philadelphia, PA many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and caring friends.  Funeral services for Mr. Morris Fowlkes will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 1, 2008 at New Rehoboth Baptist Church, Keysville, VA with Rev. Ricky Allen, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1304 North Main Street, Chase City, VA.
