Nelson Alexander

Mr. Nelson Alexander, 68 of Boydton, VA entered eternal rest Thursday, July 25, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Alexander was born in Mecklenburg County, VA July 26, 1944 to the late Robert Lee and Pattie Ray Alexander. He attended the schools of Brunswick County, VA and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Boydton, VA. Mr. Alexander retired for International Veneer in 2005. In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Keene Alexander; one sister, Mamie Bar-bay and four brothers, George, Robert, Len and William. Cherishing his memories are four children, Sharon Alexander and Lynette Finn of Chase City, VA, Ardell Alexander of South Hill, VA and Tinikia Alexander of Raleigh, NC; twelve grandchildren, five  sisters, Anna Tucker of Orange, NJ, Ardell McBee (Joe) of Clarksville, VA, Sarah Alexander, Emma Alexander and Rose Jones all of Boydton, VA; five brothers, Edmond Alexander (Octavia) of Skipwith, VA, James Alexander and Steven Alexander both of Boydton, VA, Herbert Alexander (Cynthia) of Brodnax, VA and Frank Alexander (Rochelle) of Charlottesville, VA; four sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, and adopted daughter,  Augustine Brown; special friend, Marie Alexander and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A memorial service for Mr. Nelson Alexander will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 29, 2013 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Rolinda Butler, officiating.
