Pastor Earline Barnes, 80, of New Jersey entered eternal rest Sunday, June 21, 2015 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Pastor Barnes was born in Mecklenburg County, VA January 28, 1935 to the late Thomas J. and Etta Mae Beattie. She attended the schools of Mecklenburg County, VA. After relocating to the north, Pastor Barnes joined Mt. Zion FBH Church, Elizabeth, NJ where she served as an usher, missionary, junior pastor and sang in the choir. She served as pastor for Smyrna Fired Baptized Holiness Church, 2nd Timothy, Palmer’s Memorial and Faith Temple Holiness Church. Pastor Barnes was also a member of Women’s AGLOW Fellowship and The Unified International Interdenominational Fellowship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Edward Barnes. Cherishing her memories are her husband of sixty-one years, William H. Barnes of Skipwith, VA; her children, Min. Caroline Perry (Isaac), Min. Jerome Bailey (Sandra), Yvonne Barr (Lonnie), Bishop William M. Barnes (Roxanne), Donald (Javetta), Jennifer (Willie), Min. Samantha Ashley (Archie) and Tabitha (Charles); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; godchildren, Peggy Griffin and Min. Annette McRae; 15 siblings; sister-in-law, Helen Funnye and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Graveside services for Pastor Earline Barnes will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
