Patricia Saunders

Mrs. Patricia Saunders, 65, of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital, South Boston, VA.

Mrs. Saunders was born in Charlotte County, VA on April 12, 1960 to Julia Ann Roberts and the late William H. Roberts. She attended Randolph Henry High School and studied nursing at Southside Community College to obtain her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Mrs. Saunders was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch, and was formerly employed by Berry Hill Nursing Home in South Boston, VA.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by four brothers, William S. Roberts, Jerry J. Roberts, Franklin D. Roberts and Tyrone Roberts.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Joe L. Saunders of Saxe, VA; four sons, Antonio McCargo (Shannon) of Appomattox, VA, Sampson D. McCargo (Tekelia) of Rice, VA, Shaun McCargo of Virginia Beach, VA and bonus son, Brian Saunders; daughter, Nakesia Etheridge of Virginia Beach, VA; her mother, Julia Ann Roberts; four brothers, Dick Henry Roberts (Vanessa) of Georgia, Kenny Roberts and Samuel L. Roberts (Matarsha) both of South Hill, VA and Brian Roberts (Ann) of Jacksonville, NC; sister, Thelma Robertson (Charles) of South Hill, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A public viewing for Mrs. Patricia Saunders will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.
