Mr. Rankin Mosley, Jr., 75, of Skipwith, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, May 22, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. Mosley was born in South Boston, VA on October 15, 1950 to the late Nannie Shields and Rankin Mosley, Sr. He attended West End High School and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in Skipwith. Mr. Mosley was formerly employed by Lawson Jones Construction. Rankin enjoyed working on cars, gardening, cooking, and helping the community. He also loved his vintage cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two uncles, Roy and John Shields, and a nephew, Anderson Jefferies, Jr. and his grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory two sons, Kenneth Moody of Chesterfield, VA and Theodore Moody (Jennifer) of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Denise Walker (Leon) of Henderson, NC; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; brother, James Mosley of Baltimore, MD; five sisters, Mary Frances Oliver (Harold) of Chase City, VA, Arvis White (Clarence) of Skipwith, VA, Marietha Smith (Vincent) of Bullock, NC, Annie Clay of Collinsville, VA and Georgia Walton of Skipwith, VA and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Rankin Mosley, Jr. will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, 2026 at St. Luke Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA with Rev. John Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in St. Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarksville, VA.

Arrangements are by C. H. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Clarksville.
