Ruby Ernestine Brown Currin

Mrs. Ruby Ernestine Brown Currin, 85 of Saxe, VA entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Farmville, VA.

Mrs. Currin was born April 20, 1941, in Charlotte County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Lena G. Brown. She was a graduate of Central High School and graduated as a LPN from Halifax Community Hospital, South Boston, VA. She dedicated her life to nursing for over thirty-five years. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Randolph, VA.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Currin was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Currin, Jr.; her son, Corey; four sisters and five brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Wendell Currin (Alberta) of Saxe, VA; her daughter, Michelle Currin of Fayetteville, NC, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Brown and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, May 8, 2026, at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Randolph, VA; burial will follow in Brown’s Memorial Garden, Saxe, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
