Mrs. Shawanna Vanessa Moore-Price, 49, of Baskerville, VA entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Price was born in Newark, NJ on February 2, 1972 to Alfreda Moore and the late Harry Wood. She received her education in the public schools of Newark, and attended New Hope Baptist Church in Boydton, VA. Mrs. Price was a certified Home Health Aide. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Curtis Price, Sr; three children, Jay-waan Moore, Najayyah Price and Curtis Price Jr.; two grandchildren; her mother, Alfreda Moore; step-mother, Sadie Wood; five brothers, James Moore, Dennis Alexander, Akim Simmons, Jamal Simmons and Ronnie Jeffreys; a cousin raised as a sister, Tiffany Burgess, eight nieces and nephews, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Shawanna Vanessa Moore-Price will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA with Rev. Michael Terry officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A mask will be required for all viewings and services. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chase City, VA.
