Terri Lynn Bacon

Mrs. Terri Lynn Bacon, 67, peacefully departed this life on April 15, 2026. 

Mrs. Bacon was born on September 3, 1958 in Trenton, NJ, and spent most of her life in Allentown, New Jersey, before later relocating to Virginia. Terri was a dedicated and hardworking woman who served as a precertification clerk in the OBGYN department at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, New Jersey.  After moving to Virginia, Terri became a faithful member of New Beginnings Apostolic Deliverance Center, South Hill, VA where she remained committed in her faith and fellowship until her passing. Her spiritual walk carried her through life’s challenges, including her courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.  

Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Norma Elgrim, as well as her first husband, Frederick Baldwin. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Hodges Bacon; her sister, Donna (John) Kamer; her brother, Eugene Elgrim Jr. (Jennifer); three nieces, two nephews, and five great-nieces and great-nephews. Terri will be remembered as a woman with a generous heart and a giving spirit. 

A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA with Pastor Sharon Peterson delivering the eulogy.
