Willie Green

Mr. Willie Edward Green, 82, of Henrico, VA entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Green was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on April 20, 1943 to the late Edward and Margaret Ann Taylor Green. He attended the public schools of Mecklenburg County, VA and was a former employee of Burlington Industries in Clarksville, VA. He was passionate about hunting and loved to watch classic westerns and cowboy movies.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Fuller Green; children, Lyndon Green, Alexander Harvey, and Robert Harvey, Jr.; granddaughter, Keisha Downs and great-granddaughter, Diamond Downs; and two brothers, Carol Edward Green and William Green.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, Sherwood Green, Willie Ruth Green, Margaret Ruth Green, Jerry Harvey, Ernestine Fielder, and Maxine Fuller; grandchildren, Baseema Hassen, Nicholas Fuller, Brian Carter, Jamila Downs, Emmanuel Downs, Shannon Harvey, Monet Whitlock-Bryant, Domenico Oliver, and Precious Green; a host of great-grandchildren; his godson, Lamont Rivers; brothers, Rev. Larry Green (Sarah) and James Green, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the chapel of C. H. Harris Funeral Home, Buffalo Junction, VA with Rev. Larry Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Family Cemetery, Clarksville, VA. Public viewing will begin on Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M.
